Today was definitely a challenge in so many ways: waking up for church, arguments, and on top of all that, studying, but God is so good to us.

I visited my grandma today (she's not my real grandma, she's my grandfather's little sister...so technically my great aunt? who knows) and it was pretty awesome.
1. dinner was so good...so happy i have family in san diego that can make a decent chinese dinner that isn't filled with MSG
2. we talked for about 2 hours just about life and she asked me if I went to church today, like she does every sunday....

I wish I could be the Christian she is. She lives with her husband who is diagnosed with Alzheimer's. All he can do is eat and sleep. Living alone, I don't know how she does it! Actually I do, her faith stretches beyond anything I can ever imagine. She's unable to go to church and do many things because she has to take care of her husband, but that doesn't stop her. She listens to messages every sunday online in Chinese... and in English. Her English is extraordinary (better than my mom's for sure).

...then she asked me why I didn't bring Jared for dinner...
...she has never met him before...

I love sundays.

Circus of the Sun

So, it's the weekend before finals. Studying? I think not. We officially celebrated the start of finals week by going to cirque de soleil (Kooza). Jared's mom spontaneously just bought tickets for us a few months ago! yay Jared's mom! ...btw the show was AMAZING!

I sincerely cannot wait for our next potluck...I am so blessed by all these people, each one of them has influenced me and taught me something in someway. I really don't want college to be over because of them. Thanks for always being in my life, and always encouraging me when I'm down. Seriously, we're so different but I love it....and when I say different, I mean we are all very different...and one more thing, we miss you Chester! Wish you could've made it!

I love playing with Jared and his friends...going to Mexico with them (De la and Kevin) in 8 days....!!!!

Man i'm a lucky man... I have a woman who's willing to come to me and get me lunch when i'm starving amongst other things in this life... She does so much for me and puts up with the time that is seeped away with the other things i like to do and know i must do... but she's always there... to give me a double double cheeseburger with pesto, some french fries with seasoning salt, mac and cheese, granola bar, apple juice all in a paper bag.

Dimanche a la Mode

Sundays are definitely my favorite days to dress up! I love going to Coast Vineyard Church. I absolutely adore the drive up to Coast Vineyard overlooking oceans and mansions. and rain? I don't let anything get me down thanks to the turkish coffee with hazelnut creamer I had that morning complementary of Coast. And let me say, the message this Sunday was extra ordinary named: desperate faith. Even the name makes me cringe it was so good. -deliamarie

The Month of Love

February
was definitely a crazy month, sorry for the lack of entries. During this month, God definitely filled our lives with trials and tragedies, along with a immense amount of growth.

The shortest month and yet the craziest one. Life has been slow and difficult and fatiguing. Man just life really hits hard and fast. Things of THIS WORLD are fleeting and sometimes you just can’t control that. And things may happen in this life, but all you can do is be thankful for what you have and appreciate the gifts God has given you. There’s so many ugly facets of life and all you can do sometimes is just laugh and smile…

Laugh and smile is what we do whether it’s in the City of Angels w/ pastrami bratwurst’s with crispy curly fries and ranch dressing or an African Safari in Escondido or a night out for a Valentine’s night dinner next to the ocean.

Sometimes we’re lucky and other times we’re not… and sometimes you just gotta enjoy what’s in front of you.

weeks are crazy, filled with losses and screams, but You are still there, through it all. I love you so much, may You give me joy for years to come and forevermore.

In February God has blessed me with:
1.The patience and love of Jared
2.A group of friends that I can truly be my giggly,
wears her heart on her sleeve,
likes to wear anything with African print self
3. An accountability partner that will work
in the same fast-paced drama-filled industry with me...
who will also be my summer school roommate
